About Peter
My name is Peter, and I’m a sophomore studying Economics at the University of Dallas. I’ve always enjoyed math because I like breaking problems into clear steps and finding patterns. Over the past few years, I’ve taken a wide range of math courses, from algebra and geometry to statistics and calculus, and I’ve done very well in them. Outside of school, I’ve worked in jobs that required me to be reliable, organized, and good at explaining things clearly. I bring that same focus into tutoring: I show up prepared, create a simple plan for each lesson, and make sure the student walks away with something concrete they’ve learned. Since I'm a student myself, I know what it feels like to be stuck on a problem, and I know tricks and approaches that actually help it click. I’m patient, approachable, and I try to make learning feel less stressful and more encouraging.

Each lesson follows a simple routine that keeps students focused and growing:
Quick Review (5–10 minutes): Go over what we learned last time to refresh memory.
Targeted Practice: Work through specific problems or topics the student struggles with, breaking them into small, clear steps.
Active Learning: Have the student explain the concept back to me or solve a problem on their own, so I can check real understanding.
Real-World Connections: Show how the math applies in everyday life (finance, problem-solving, patterns) to keep it engaging.
Wrap-Up & Goal: Summarize key points and set a small, achievable goal for the next session.
What sets me apart is my focus on building confidence and understanding, not just getting the right answers.
