About Lê
Hi, I’m Kevin, a computer science and machine learning student at Washington University in St. Louis. I tutor math, Python, intro computer science, data structures, machine learning basics, linear algebra for ML, LaTeX reports, and technical project writeups.
My strength as a tutor is patience and clarity. I know what it feels like to be confused by a concept, so I focus on breaking ideas down to the foundation and rebuilding them step by step. I ask questions, listen carefully, and adapt my explanation until the student truly understands.
I do not just give answers. I help students understand the reasoning behind the solution so they can explain it, modify it, and solve similar problems on their own.
I can also help students polish technical resumes, GitHub READMEs, and portfolio projects for internship or research applications.

My lessons are usually structured like office hours: we start with what the student is confused about, identify the missing concept, and work through examples together until the idea becomes clear.
For homework or project help, I guide students through the reasoning and debugging process instead of simply giving them the answer. The goal is for the student to understand the solution well enough to explain it and apply the same idea independently.
I work best with beginner and intermediate students who want patient, step-by-step explanations in math, programming, computer science, or machine learning. I also enjoy helping curious students go deeper into a topic and connect new ideas to concepts they already know.
Students are welcome to ask any question, no matter how basic. Clarifying questions are especially valuable because they show exactly where understanding can improve.
