About Vanessa

Hi, I'm Vanessa from Australia! Languages have always been a huge part of my life and I consistently use multiple languages every day. I have a Vietnamese background so speak both English and Vietnamese natively. I studied a Bachelor of Languages with Majors in French and Spanish. I also specialized in Linguistics so have a profound understanding of how your brain and mouth work together to produce language with accuracy and confidence. I have lived, worked and/or studied in France and Spain so I have a level C1 in French and complete Spanish proficiency. Languages have taken me all over the world to learn and meet new people, places and cultures so my passion for languages never stops growing. I would love to take you on as a student to share my knowledge and experience even further.

My key to teaching is collaborating with my students and adapting classes to their skill sets, needs and goals. I use a combination of listening, writing and speaking activities as well as fun games to facilitate language learning, building accuracy and confidence in spoken and written language. I generally hold 1-2 hour lessons for beginner to intermediate students. I have 5 years experience in teaching and tutoring English and French to classes and individuals, in-person and online, in Australia and overseas. I love teaching languages and sharing my knowledge!
