About Catherine

I have lived abroad in both France and Spain so have plenty of experience with speaking the languages and understanding the cultures.
While living in France I worked as a live in au pair and English tutor for a multilingual family, focusing on helping their eight year old son with his language studies.
I also spent my year abroad living in the south of Spain and working as an English language assistant in both a primary and a secondary school.
I have previously undertaken a placement in the MFL department of a Southampton secondary school, helping students in their preparations for their French and Spanish oral exams. In conjunction with this, I took a university module in teaching theory and carried out a report on my experiences in the classroom.
From September I will be beginning a School Direct PGCE accredited by the University of Southampton.

About the lesson

I have recently graduated from the University of Southampton with a First Class Honours in BA French and Spanish.
I am now living in central Salisbury and am offering private tutition, help with exam preparations, and homework help for students up to A Level level.
My help would be particularly useful for students struggling to get to grips with their language studies, or particular areas of grammar.

If you are centrally based I will happily come to your house for the sessions, however, due to lack of personal transport, I cannot travel further afield.
