About Naheeda
Hi! I’m a Law student, a lifelong lover of ideas, and someone who genuinely believes learning should feel interesting, not mechanical.
Outside of tutoring, I spend a lot of time immersed in pop culture, music, theatre, and cinema. I’m also a big reader of essays (Substack is my weakness), and I enjoy writing on the side myself. I’ve always been drawn to the way stories, politics, and culture shape how we understand the world — which is a big part of why I chose to study Law and hope to change the world myself.
I approach tutoring with the belief that essay-based disciplines are about thinking, not just memorising. The most successful students aren’t always the ones who know the most facts — they’re the ones who understand the ideas behind the subject and can express them clearly.
Because I recently completed my A-levels, and am still a student, I understand how exams actually feel from the inside. I know the pressure, the revision chaos, and the moment when a question appears in the exam and you think “Someone talked about this... at some point.” My goal is to help students move past that and reach the point where things genuinely click.
Lessons with me tend to feel more like conversations than lectures. We unpack ideas, make connections to the real world, and work out how to turn that understanding into strong, confident exam answers.
Alongside all of this, I care deeply about the importance of sharing ideas and helping people find their voice.
Teaching is one of the ways I get to do that. And if, along the way, you start writing answers that look suspiciously like Grade 9 / A* material, that’s a very nice bonus too.
For me, the pursuit of knowledge is ultimately about seeking understanding, cultivating character, and remaining open to the wisdom that shapes a meaningful life.

My teaching is built on a balance between two goals: helping students achieve the very highest grades (Grade 9/A*) in Religious Studies and helping them develop skills that will stay with them long after the exam.
While exams are important, I believe the best results come when students truly understand the ideas, beliefs, and ethical concepts behind the specification, rather than just memorising facts. My lessons focus on helping students grasp the bigger themes and connections, so they can think critically, analyse arguments, and approach exam questions with confidence.
This means students don’t just learn what to write in an exam, but also how to evaluate, reason, and structure their answers in a deeper and more thoughtful way. When this understanding is combined with strong exam technique, it often leads to much stronger responses and higher grades. Beyond exams, Religious Studies develops critical thinking, moral reasoning, and cultural awareness - skills that are valuable for life.
Lessons are typically 1 hour, though longer sessions can be arranged for in-depth exam practice or to cover multiple topics.
As a recent high-achieving student, I have strong familiarity with current GCSE and A-level Religious Studies specifications and what examiners look for in top-level responses. I also provide structured revision materials, model answers, and clear frameworks to help students organise their thinking and approach difficult topics with confidence. I have been tutoring for a year.
My tutoring is ideal for GCSE and A-level students, particularly those who want to strengthen their understanding of beliefs, ethics, and philosophy, improve their analytical and evaluative skills, and push their grades towards Grade 9/A* while developing skills that last well beyond the classroom.
(P.S. Anyone can achieve top grades with the right tools - believe in yourself :) )

I have known Naheeda for years, I have always been impressed by her ability to teach others and break down complex concepts. She is a naturally gifted at English and has excelled in this subject in school. I have seen how well she interacts with younger students, and how keen they are to learn from her. I highly recommend her
Naheeda was an excellent teacher. Very patient and also concise. I noticed a huge progression in my learning and understanding of Arabic.
Naheeda is teaching my 10-year-old. In the short time they've been working together, he has made tangible improvements. Naheeda is punctual, resourceful and engaging. She knows her subject!
I highly recommend Naheeda as an English tutor. I took lessons with her and found her to be incredibly patient and knowledgeable. She has a way of explaining complex grammar in a way that is easy to understand. Thanks to her, my confidence in speaking and writing has improved significantly. She is a dedicated teacher who truly cares about her students progress.
Naheeda is currently my English Literature, Language and French GCSE tutor, and has been tutoring me for many months now.
Before I started my tuition with Naheeda, my grades in these 3 subjects were dangerously low. My revision felt unorganised and my knowledge, chaotic. Since I've begun, I have improved in each of these subjects, improving my analysis and structure in English as well as my vocabulary in french
Naheeda has also helped me make decisions regarding future plans related to 6th form and university, giving me advice and perspective that can only be attained by the experiences she's had.View more recommendations
