About Leah
I have started my master’s degree in environmental science and engineering at Clarkson University. I found a passion for tutoring through working as a peer mentor for college students, but I’m willing and excited to tutor students of all ages. In high school I took AP calculus and scored a 5 on the exam. I also excelled in other math subjects such as algebra and geometry. My bachelor’s degree was in mathematics and chemistry, as a double major. I especially excelled in intro-level chemistry.

I really enjoy working with students of all ages. I’m very patient and willing to work through problems without giving the answer. My lessons will be catered to whatever you feel needs the most work. I will go above and beyond to make sure you understand the underlying concepts of the problem at hand.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the tutor.
Leah has a wonderful way of teaching others. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable, but also gifted at explaining challenging concepts. She is a patient listener and provides encouragement in ways that help her students become more confident in their abilities. It was clear to me when I attended her graduate school presentations that she is organized, thorough, and a strong communicator. Most importantly, Leah’s students will know that she cares about them and their success.
Leah is a natural teacher and tutor. She has a gift to understand complex subjects and concepts, and explain them in a way everyone can understand. She helped me get through intro to physics!
