About Cayetano

I’m Cayetano, a dual-qualified attorney in Spain and California with a passion for law and teaching. Having successfully passed the California Bar Exam through independent study in just ten months, I understand the importance of effective study techniques, dedication, and clear legal reasoning.
My goal is to make complex legal concepts accessible and help students build the confidence and skills they need to succeed academically and professionally.

About the lesson

Learn Law with a Dual-Qualified Attorney in Spain and California

My teaching approach focuses on developing a genuine understanding of legal principles rather than simply memorising information. I believe that mastering the law means learning how to think, analyse, and argue like a lawyer.

Every lesson is adapted to the student's academic level, university curriculum, and individual goals. My approach combines:

- Breaking down complex legal concepts into accessible, practical explanations.
- Using real and hypothetical legal scenarios to understand how legal principles apply in practice.
- Developing analytical skills, structured legal arguments, and effective application of the IRAC method (Issue, Rule, Application, Conclusion).
- Working through practice questions, past papers, hypothetical cases, and exam techniques to improve confidence and performance.
- Helping students identify weaknesses, organise their studies, and strengthen their legal writing and critical thinking skills.

I offer tutoring in a wide range of legal subjects, including Constitutional Law, Contract Law, Criminal Law, Private Law, Tax Law, International Law. I also provide specialised preparation for the California Bar Exam, including substantive legal knowledge, essay-writing techniques, and legal analysis.

Lessons are 60 minutes long and take place online. Depending on the student's needs, sessions may focus on explaining course materials, reviewing cases, solving practical exercises, preparing for examinations, or improving legal writing.

As a Spanish-qualified attorney who also successfully passed the California Bar Exam after preparing independently in approximately ten months, I understand the challenges of studying law across different legal systems.

My experience allows me to combine the civil law and common law perspectives, helping students approach legal problems with a broader international understanding.

Whether you are struggling with a particular subject, aiming for higher grades, or preparing for a major legal examination, my goal is to help you build the knowledge, confidence, and analytical skills needed to succeed.
