About Conor

I am a 3D modeler, animator, rigger, and Unreal Engine Generalist. I have worked in the film industry for over 6 years at Alt.VFX / Cosmic Dino. In that time, I have worked on 6 feature Films (The Bluey Movie ( 2027 ), The Power of the Dog ( Academy Award Winner ), True Spirit, FOE, Pout Pout Fish, Never Ending Pillow Fort ( 2027 ), many TV shows and Advertisements.

I specialize in rigging and take pride in creating animator friendly rigs that are both robust and intuitive to use. I am confident building rigs from scratch without relying on rig builders, while also being comfortable utilizing tools such as mGear, AdvancedSkeleton, and studio-specific rig systems. I can comfortably use Mel scripting and utilize my own shelf in my workflow. My experience spans advanced body and facial rigs, as well as more technical problem solving for unique assets, including bikes, books, and vehicles.

I graduated with distinction from studying a Bachelor of Games Design at QUT, majoring in Animation. I have also worked with 3P Studios as a 3D Generalist, which allowed me to delve into diverse areas such as advertisement projects, Unreal Engine Crowd Scenes, and the Unreal Engine VR - Fleet Space Project. My experience and skillset makes my knowledge of animation, modeling, and Unreal Engine capable of achieving great results in digital medias. I am always looking for the next project to work on whether it is personal or in collaboration.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is very hands-on and tailored to each student’s goals, whether that’s learning the fundamentals or improving existing skills. I focus on real production workflows used in film and games, covering areas like modelling, rigging, animation, and Unreal Engine.

Lessons are typically 1 hour and can be structured or flexible depending on what you want to achieve. I’ll guide you through practical examples, problem solving, and building your own projects.

My lessons are suited for beginners through to intermediate artists, including students, hobbyists, or anyone looking to break into the industry.
