Learn the art of the bansuri from a seasoned professional with 25 years of experience as a session musician. I specialize in the Indian bamboo flute and am classically trained in Hindustani Classical music, holding a Visharad from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. I’ve performed at prestigious venues across India and internationally, collaborating with producers worldwide. Honored with the President’s Award in 1998, I bring a wealth of expertise to help you master this soulful instrument, whether you’re a beginner or an advanced learner. In my classes, I teach the core essence of being a musician, guiding students to dive deep into the artistry and lifestyle of the bansuri. I emphasize ear training with drone sounds, perfecting swaras (notes), and embracing music as a healing, meditative journey. I invite students to walk this path with me, expecting regular practice and reflections each session. Rejecting rigid theory or orthodox methods, I emphasize the thriving pulse of sound that engulfs our hearts, sparking genuine interest. The reward lies in immersing in sound waves, not just knowing right from wrong.

Details
All students must have their own bansuri to begin lessons. You’re welcome to consult with me for guidance on selecting the right bansuri to suit your learning journey.
Classes are held once a week per student, providing ample time for the weekly practice required to progress. For special occasions or performances, I can increase frequency to two classes per week upon request, tailored to your needs.
