About Oceane

Hello! My name is Océane, and I come from the beautiful region of Haute-Savoie, in the heart of the mountains. I’m passionate about skiing, languages, and travel. I’ve had the chance to live abroad and experience different cultures, which has deeply enriched my view of the world. Today, I live in London, a vibrant and cosmopolitan city where I get to interact with people from all over the world, while staying connected to my French roots. Thanks to this international experience, I’m highly motivated to share my love for France and the French language with those eager to learn it. As a tutor, my goal is to make learning French engaging, accessible, and dynamic, while also sharing the values, traditions, and cultural richness that make France so special. Additionally, I have recently completed a 15-hour diploma entitled "Teaching French as a Foreign Language Today – Discovery Path" with the Alliance Française of Vichy. This course helped me gain in-depth knowledge of modern teaching practices for French as a foreign language (FLE). Whether you are a beginner or wish to further your mastery of French, I am here to guide you on your language journey. I use varied, interactive methods to keep lessons interesting and enriching. I also incorporate elements of French culture, ensuring that learning the language is not only about grammar but also about understanding the culture behind it. If you’re ready to dive into the world of French language and culture, I would be delighted to accompany you on this wonderful adventure!

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is based on an interactive and communicative approach, where the student is at the centre of the learning process. I use a variety of resources, such as videos, role-playing activities, authentic texts, and cultural activities, to help students engage with the language in a fun and practical way. I tailor my lessons to meet each student’s specific needs, considering their level, goals, and interests. I aim to create a relaxed and motivating learning environment, where students feel confident expressing themselves in French. I also place a strong emphasis on French culture, which I believe is key to fully understanding the language. This is interactive. Looking forward to it!
