About Stéphanie

I am a linguist working as a French teacher and English to French translator and content writer with experience in a number of other areas including education, cultural and artistic exchanges, international trade, University administration, the travel industry, dance and childcare.

My qualifications include a degree in foreign literature and civilizations, a MA in translation studies, and I remain available to discuss my background with you in more details since I have a versatile professional and study background.

Teaching and learning offers so many possibilities and what holds a particular interest to me is to accompany learners becoming self-reliant, while staying present to assist them guiding them through the learning steps and navigating through it with them. Adults and children, beginners, intermediate levels or advanced speakers, you are all very welcome.

About the lesson

Bonjour and welcome to your French class! My name is Stéphanie, a French tutor from France who lived many years in English speaking countries.

I have been teaching French to students from all walks of life around the globe and thoroughly enjoy working internationally with adults and children who wish to learn French.

Let me introduce you to your French class. Your class is designed to suit your own needs and make your learning natural and accessible to you so you can build up starting from where you are right now.

As your vocabulary expands, you will be able to get into a flow of conversation over time and speak with more ease and spontaneity. Conversation is going to be our main tool and we will use other support materials from time to time. If you wish to improve your writing and grammar we may opt to focus on these skills and go through exercises and grammar rules based on how this would benefit your learning aims.

We will go at your best suitable pace and when we meet for our first lesson you can tell me why you want to learn French. I look forward to hearing about your French learning project.
