About Levis

With 3 years of experience teaching French to learners of all ages and skill levels, I’ve taught between 150 and 200 students, each with unique goals. My tutoring approach is simple: every student learns differently, and every lesson should reflect that. I craft each session around the student’s strengths, pace, and areas for improvement. My goal is to make French accessible and enjoyable, whether that means breaking down grammar concepts or practicing everyday conversation. I use storytelling, French media, and practical exercises to help students not only understand but use the language confidently. Beyond language skills, I focus on helping students develop a growth mindset. Mistakes are seen as part of the process, and progress is always celebrated. I believe that when students feel safe, respected, and engaged, they learn best—and that’s the environment I strive to create every time we meet.

About the lesson

My mission is to empower students to speak and understand French with confidence, through a teaching method based on compassion, integrity, and adaptability. These three values allow me to support students in a way that feels safe, personal, and effective.

I start each tutoring journey by getting to know the student—their goals, struggles, learning style, and motivations. This foundation helps me create personalized lessons that keep learners engaged and inspired. I often use real-life scenarios like traveling, shopping, or meeting someone new to teach both language and culture at once.

Compassion drives how I teach. I understand that everyone learns at a different pace and has their own challenges. I don’t push students beyond their comfort zone—instead, I gently guide them forward with patience and positivity.

With integrity, I set honest expectations and help learners build strong language habits. We review what’s working and adjust what isn’t. Whether a student needs extra practice with grammar, help writing in French, or speaking fluency, I give them the right tools and encouragement.

I’m also flexible and responsive to each student’s needs. If someone prefers conversation over worksheets, we focus on dialogue. If a student is a visual learner, I use charts, videos, and images. I also support learners in related subjects like French writing, comprehension, phonics, and oral exams.
