About Prayaag
Prayaag Barooah is a jazz guitarist, educator, composer, and arranger based in Mumbai, India, with a deep-rooted passion for a wide range of musical styles, including jazz, pop, rock, funk, R&B, fusion, and film music. As a faculty member at NMIMS School of Performing Arts, Mumbai, Prayaag mentors the next generation of musicians while continuing to perform with some of the most renowned artists in India and across the globe. He has shared the stage with Louiz Banks, Gino Banks, Sheldon D'Silva, Mark Hartsuch, Aron Nyro, Marios Menelaou, Dove Balu, Kalpana Patowary, Matteo Fraboni, Sanjay Divecha, Adrian D'Souza, and many others. His performances have graced prestigious venues and festivals, including Prithvi Theatre, Tata NCPA, and Serendipity Festival. Beyond the stage, Prayaag has collaborated as an arranger with some of the leading studios in the industry, contributing to film scores and advertisements. With a strong foundation in contemporary and jazz music, he is committed to sharing his knowledge as an educator, live performer, and producer, offering students a deep and structured approach to mastering the guitar.

My guitar lessons are fully tailored to each student’s needs, whether you're a complete beginner, an aspiring professional, or someone looking to refine your craft. We can explore multiple genres, including jazz, rock, blues, fusion, and more, ensuring a well-rounded musical education.
For students aiming for formal qualifications, I offer structured preparation for exams such as Trinity, Rockschool, ABRSM, and LCM, as well as entrance exams for prestigious institutions like Berklee College of Music, Musicians Institute, and leading conservatories worldwide. Many of my past students have successfully pursued higher studies abroad.
