About Helina
Hi! I'm a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan, currently studying in Germany and doing an exchange semester in Australia. I've always loved sharing my language and culture with others, and having studied abroad myself, I know firsthand how intimidating it can be to learn something new in a foreign environment — so I try to make my lessons as relaxed and approachable as possible.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing musical instruments, tennis, bouldering, and traveling. I like to bring students' own interests into our lessons too — learning a language is so much easier (and more fun) when it connects to things you actually care about. I'm excited to help you build real confidence in speaking Mandarin!
