About Nawal

My name is Nawal. I am a native Arabic speaker from Lebanon, fluent in French and English, and currently based in the UK.

I graduated from the American University of Beirut (AUB) and have always been passionate about languages, communication, travel, and different cultures. I studied Arabic, French, and English throughout my education and later explored Japanese and Italian.
I have five years of private teaching experience, working with children and adults of different ages and abilities.
I am patient, encouraging, and attentive to each learner’s individual goals and learning style.
I hold a clear Enhanced DBS certificate with a Children’s Barred List check and am registered with the DBS Update Service.
Lessons are available online from Monday to Friday between 12:00 and 18:00, and Saturday between 12:00 and 16:00 UK time. I offer one- or two-hour sessions.

About the lesson

I teach both Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and spoken Lebanese Arabic.
My Modern Standard Arabic lessons can include reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and comprehension.
My Lebanese Arabic lessons focus on natural, everyday conversation and expressions that learners can use confidently in real-life situations.

Every lesson is adapted to the student’s level, interests, and goals. Complete beginners are guided step by step through the foundations of the language.
Intermediate and advanced learners can develop greater fluency, improve their pronunciation, expand their vocabulary, and communicate more naturally.
Lessons may include conversation practice, guided exercises, cultural topics, and practical situations. I can tailor lessons for travel, work, studies, family connections, or personal interest.
For children, I use interactive and enjoyable activities to maintain their attention and encourage participation.
For adults, I create practical lessons based on their personal or professional objectives.
Lessons are normally 60 minutes, with longer sessions available by arrangement.
