About Nate
I am a piano teacher with over 9 years of experience, holding a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Piano. I have worked with students preparing for music exams, college auditions, and professional gigs. My goal is to help every student reach their full potential while keeping lessons engaging and enjoyable. I take a personalized approach, tailoring each lesson to the student’s level, goals, and musical interests. Whether it’s classical, jazz, pop, or contemporary styles, I help students develop technical skills and artistic expression. I also focus on sight-reading, improvisation, and music theory to build well-rounded musicianship. For exam preparation or auditions, I guide students step by step, giving clear feedback and practical strategies. I encourage creativity and performance confidence through improvisation and interpretation. Each lesson is interactive, motivating, and designed to inspire a lifelong love for music. I focus on building strong fundamentals in technique, music theory, and sight-reading. Lessons cover a wide range of styles, including classical, jazz, pop, soul, and R&B, so students develop versatility and creativity.
I integrate exam preparation for ABRSM, Rockschool, and A-Level curriculums, guiding students through graded pieces, technical exercises, and performance skills. Music history is included to give context and inspire deeper appreciation. I also encourage composition and improvisation, helping students explore their own musical ideas.
Each lesson is interactive and adapted to the student’s level, whether a beginner, intermediate, or advanced player. Role-play and real-world performance scenarios are used to boost confidence and stage presence. I focus on practical applications, ensuring students can play with expression and accuracy.
