About Abhishek

I've been playing music since I was 13. I've had a fascinating, wondrous and fulfilling journey with it, learning and playing guitar and other instruments throughout my school, college and later adult life playing in bands and performing at competitions, shows and independent gigs.

I can help you in learning and figuring out guitar parts from songs from the wonderful rock repertoire of Metallica, Megadeth, RHCP, Led Zeppelin etc. as well as acoustic players and songwriters like John Mayer, Bob Dylan etc. Having been blessed with a great ear for music and faculty on the instrument developed through years of noodling and messing around with it, I can usually figure out what's happening on the guitar fairly quickly within a song and I can share my method with you. I've studied music with top musicians from the Indian independent scene as well as teachers from all over the world (like Musicians Institute, Hollywood) at Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music, which I combine with my own experience to play and teach in my own unique way instead of following any specific book or method.

About the lesson

Welcome! I can help you with any specific stuff that you might want to work on with respect to your playing, or if you're stuck learning or figuring out any songs or guitar parts. We can also work on specific concepts in music like harmony, ear training, rhythm, chords or guitar techniques like palm muting, harmonics, picking techniques, fingerpicking, tapping, legato playing etc.

I prefer sharing individual concepts integrating them within songs, that'll make it fun and exciting for you to learn and play for yourself or with other people. Or if you just wanna learn a few chords to sing along your favourite songs to, we can ignore the complicated and fancy stuff and just do that as well! Look forward to working with you :)
