About Jennie
Bonjour, je m'appelle Jennie. I was born and raised in France, visited and lived in many different countries before settling in NYC 15 years ago. I live in Manhattan and spend lots of time in Central Park walking my dog, Harrison Ford. I graduated from an international business school with a major in Marketing and have tutored French for many years now, in-person and online. I love to read and write (in both French and English), bake like my great-grandma taught me, and take lots of photos and videos as I am a fashion and portrait photographer in the city. I am new to Superprof so let's get started and I look forward to meeting and teaching many of you.

French is a complicated language to learn. Let's acknowledge it, first! But it doesn't mean it is impossible. If others can learn it, so can you. Yes, you can! My approach is My promises to you as a teacher: - I will listen to your needs and will adapt to your level. - You will improve. - I will never make you feel bad. - We will have fun! First lesson is free so we can get to know each other, I can assess your skills and we can discuss your needs and what teaching method will work best for you. I will come back to you with a plan of action, whether you are a beginner or advanced student, a kid or an adult. Open communication is key. This is language learning after all :)

I have known Jennie since she moved to the city. She answered one of my ads lookin for a French tutor. I had an opportunity to study abroad in France and wanted her to help me understand the basics before moving. She was kind, incredibly helpful. After 6 months of tutoring with Jennie, I moved to France and was able, not only to understand basics, I was able to speak and have a full conversation in French.
