About Leïla

I'm a Business Data Analytics student with some free time when it comes to classes. And living in Arizona where not many people speak French, I figured the best way to keep my skills alive is to teach it to someone else!

About the lesson

I teach English and French to all levels, with a focus on getting people talking early rather than drilling grammar first. Lessons are built around real situations, job interviews, travel, everyday conversation. Vocabulary and grammar come back around over multiple sessions so it actually sticks.

A typical hour: quick warm-up chat, brief review of last time, something new (grammar, vocab, or a way of expressing things), then practice, then a short recap with something small to look over before next time. I'll adjust on the fly if someone needs something different that day.

What sets me apart is that I don't run a fixed curriculum but I figure out what someone actually needs and build from there. Being fluent in both English and French means I can explain tricky stuff (false friends, idioms, culture) from either direction. And mistakes are just part of the process.

I work with beginners building the basics, intermediates wanting more natural fluency, and advanced learners polishing things up or prepping for a move or interview. No exam prep.
