Find private physics tutoring in St. Thomas

Physics rests on foundations that make the rest of the subject much clearer.

• Units and measurement: metres, kilograms, seconds and the SI system behind every calculation.
• Motion and forces: speed, acceleration and Newton's three laws, summed up by F = ma.
• Energy and work let you solve problems without tracking every single force.
• Waves, electricity and matter: circuits, currents, sound and the behaviour of light.

A one-on-one session lets you ask the basic questions you skip in a full classroom.

Physics tutors in St. Thomas typically charge $21/h per hour.

This rate varies depending on several factors:

• The level of study (high school, CEGEP, university)
• The instructor's credentials and track record
• The package you choose (one-off or regular)
• Where the sessions take place

Comparing a few profiles helps you find the best value for your budget.

You can make real progress on your own if you build each topic on the previous one.

• Start with mechanics, then move on to energy, waves, electricity and modern physics.
• Solve problems daily: reading a worked example is not the same as doing it yourself.
• Keep your math sharp, since weak algebra often looks like weak physics.
• Test your understanding by explaining a concept out loud or sketching the situation first.

With a teacher, you get feedback in minutes instead of guessing for days.

With 5/5, physics teachers in St. Thomas show excellent results.
