About Gurjot

Hi, I’m Gurjot! If your English sounds great in your head but gets a little shy out loud, you’re in the right place.

I live in Vancouver and work in luxury product and clientele management, where I spend my days meeting people, coaching my team and finding ways to explain things clearly.

With me, you’ll have time to think, ask questions and try again. Forget a word? We’ll work around it. Need another explanation? That’s my cue to explain it differently.

We’ll practice through conversations about your interests and everyday life, with gentle corrections and activities built around your goals. I take your progress seriously, but we can still laugh along the way.

Bring your questions, your stories and your unfinished sentences. We’ll take it from there at your pace.

About the lesson

Got the words in your head, but they disappear when it’s time to speak? Let’s work on that together!

Being an international student myself, I understand the dilemma we face with the language. I am a graduate from UBC. I did my majors in Criminal Justice and Psychology.

We’ll chat about things you enjoy, practice everyday situations and get you more comfortable speaking English, from ordering your favorite coffee to meeting new people or preparing for an interview.

I currently work in luxury clientele management, so talking to people is a big part of my day. I’ll bring that real-world experience into relaxed lessons, with useful tips and friendly corrections along the way.

No pressure to be perfect. Ask questions, make mistakes and have a laugh—that’s part of learning!

Let’s turn “Sorry, my English isn’t very good” into “Let me give it a try!”
