About Djamila

I am a University student reading Politics and Modern Languages who received an A* in A Level English Literature.

I specialise in a range of texts such as An Inspector Calls (GCSE), Romeo and Juliet (GCSE), Jane Eyre (GCSE), Gothic Novels like Dracula and The Bloody Chamber (AS/A Level), The Tempest (AS/A Level), The Duchess of Malfi (AS/A Level) and The Merchant's Prologue and Tale (AS/A Level). I also achieved an A* in my A Level coursework and would be more than happy to help with the structure and writing of those coursework essays.

I have experience tutoring students of all ages through previous volunteering in primary schools and mentoring programmes with secondary and sixth form students, where I received consistently positive feedback from both students and teachers.

About the lesson

My current availability:
Mondays 6-7pm
Tuesdays 6-7pm
Wednesdays 4-5pm & 5-6pm

I teach classes that are tailored to the student's needs as I am aware that each person likes to learn differently, with some favouring a rigid structure and others preferring a more informal environment. My lessons are very interactive as I use a range of worksheets and powerpoints to teach as well as regular quizzes to measure a student's progress and assess their strengths and weaknesses. All lessons are tailored to the student's ability and aim to bridge gaps in their learning and increase their confidence in the run up to exams.

I was struggling to understand aspects of the GCSE Literature course like the poetry analysis and comparison but she explained it in simple terms and helped me understand not only what to write but how to write it.
