About Esther

As an A level pupil, and someone who has already taken their GCSE's, I know how stressful these exams in particular can be. I don't have very much experience in teaching or tutoring anyone professionally, apart from my younger sisters, however, I would love to be able to help in giving you the confidence to do the best that you can in English, especially because it's one of those subjects that some students find quite easy, but others just can't get the hang of. I love the idea of being able to help you achieve the best marks possible, and I have a deep passion for the subject so tutoring will seem less like a chore and something that I'd be more than happy to help with.

About the lesson

A lesson is typically an hour long (I can always do longer, I just need to be told in advance), and is aimed at Year 10 and 11 pupils who are doing currently doing their GCSE course. I teach based off the syllabus of the exam board the tutee is taking the exam for. I have pre made lesson plans for each aspect of both the Literature and Language exams for a variety of different exam boards, however, I am a lot more comfortable teaching the specification for Pearson Edexcel IGCSE. I go through both content and exam technique, in full, as well as going through the ways that the candidate can write a top grade essay.
