About Zoya

I’m a fun and friendly Year 13 student who is finishing her A-Level exams in June 2026, Religious Studies being one of them, and progressing into University in September. I take a deep passion in discussions of Religion and Theology because I feel it allows us to really reflect on what it means to be human, our existence and the morality that comes with simply being alive. From Philosophy to Ethics to Theology, I offer deep and nuanced insight and tuition into the complexity of each, as well as the application of religious belief into real-life aspects such as Family, Relationships, Abortions and Euthanasia. I aim to offer GCSE students of both Year 10 and Year 11 a well-rounded view on the nuance of RE and how important it really is in imposing guidelines for humanitarian behaviour. My biggest wish is for my students to leave the GCSEs having attained the best grades possible, whilst also engaged in critical thinking and discussion around the meaning of being human and our true purpose on this Earth. I am 18, tutoring students of Year 10-11 meaning they’d be aged 14-16. I believe that as a young female adult I would be exceptionally suited to teaching younger females as feminism and the female role in the Church and society is absolutely core knowledge in RE, and as an avid feminist myself I’d love to hear female perspectives. My tutoring is of course open to boys too, and i would love to teach students of both genders, i don’t discriminate!

About the lesson

I own textbooks of both AQA GCSE Religious Studies and OCR A-Level Religious Studies, which I believe have perpetuated my expert knowledge in the subject, as well as through my own revision. I would gladly create and explain essay plans with students, teach arguments for and against topics and debates in RE, and provide students with Biblical or Quranic scripture they’d need for their exams. My lessons are best suited for the avid theologians of Year 10 & Year 11 who, like me, enjoy the abstract and metaphysical nature of our existence and the complexity of God.As a tutor, I encourage my students to actively visit and participate in activities in the Church or the Mosque to experience religious practices outside out of the classroom and our sessions to really understand the subject.
