About Sophie
I’m a student looking for a tutoring job to gain experience! However, this does not mean I will not be of much help. As a student myself, I know the common misconceptions students may have, common mistakes they’ll make, and how to overcome these issues. I have certain tips and tricks I personally use to remember content more easily and grasp concepts better so that information retains better in my mind. These are what got me my distinctions, and I am eager to pass them on to other students to help them score well too. I know what keywords the markers are looking out for, and how to structure your answer for each question concisely with enough detail to ensure you get the marks you deserve. I know what each question type is asking and how to answer it in the most efficient way possible. I can impart skills in not just quick-thinking and understanding, but also in answering and time management so that students can perform well under pressure in timed conditions such as examinations. I also have study tips and advice that can help procrastinators or busy students make the most of their time while ensuring they get enough rest every day! I aim to HELP YOUR STUDENTS IN THEIR O LEVEL JOURNEY and I will do my best to help them no matter what! My goal is also to help them improve their grades in a SHORT PERIOD OF TIME! I’ve been in their shoes before so I can definitely prepare them for and guide them through their O levels, while also allowing them to feel more comfortable with me as they can see me as more of a friend that’s there to help them!

As a student myself, I’m very familiar with the O level syllabus, the common mistakes students make, common misconceptions they may have, and how to overcome all of them. Using special tricks to memorize content easier and grasp concepts easier, I managed to pull myself up from C6 in Sec 3 to A1 in O level prelims. I'm looking for a tutoring job to gain experience and help students as I love working with students and helping them. I’m currently waiting for my O level results to come out in 2026 but am looking for a job to help me spend my holidays more meaningfully. TRUST ME WHEN I SAY I CAN HELP YOUR CHILD BAG THEIR A1s! I took O level English, Emath, Amath, pure biology, pure chemistry, combined humanities (SS, Geog), POA, Chinese. I scored distinctions for Emath, Amath, pure bio, pure chem and POA. I can confidently teach your child any of these 5 subjects! However, if your child also has queries about other subjects they are learning that I may be able to help them with, they can ask me anytime through text or before/after sessions. I can confidently teach Sec 1 to 4 students. MY GOAL IS TO HELP YOUR CHILD IMPROVE THEIR GRADES IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME! IF I COULD DO IT FOR MYSELF I CAN HELP YOU TOO!
