About Keith
I’m 42 years of age and have been playing chess since my father taught me when I was around 8. Have been playing on and off for the last 36 years. It’s a board game that has been around for 1000’s of years. It’s the original war game of tactics and strategy. When the world moves on from Call of Duty chess will still be played by millions of people worldwide every day.

I won my first ever chess tournament as a teenager in the Boys Brigade. My church has organised a tournament for chess players and I have won it 3 times in the 5 years it has been running. I enjoy teaching people and have taught 2 of my nephews and 1 of my nieces. I also took a badge class at the Boys Brigade when I was an officer. I have also taught a fair number of adults to play too.
