About Wanwen
I have a strong foundation in science, thanks to my inspiring physics teacher in high school, whose passion deeply influenced me. In my first year of university, I helped my nephew (then in junior high school) with his chemistry studies - to my surprise, his score improved by 20 points. This experience sparked my love for teaching. Over the past two years in the UK, I have tutored GCSE Science and have been continually refining my methods to suit each student’s needs. My goal is to help students not only improve their grades but also discover a real interest in science.

My lessons combine clear explanations with engaging experiments or demonstrations to spark interest in science. I tailor my teaching to each student’s needs — covering core concepts, practice questions, past paper strategies, mind maps for revision, and exam techniques. I have helped students boost grades by 2+ points. As the Chinese saying goes, “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to inspire a lasting interest in science and independent learning skills. Lessons are designed for GCSE students and typically last 2 hours with a short break.
