About Jeanna
**Hello! I'm Jeanna, and I'm Passionate About Helping Young Minds Grow!**
I'm an experienced elementary educator, a proud mother of three, and an engineering graduate with a Master's degree in Engineering Technology. With 6 years of experience in education, I've developed a passion for helping children discover their potential, build confidence, and develop a genuine understanding of what they're learning.
My background is a unique combination of elementary education, engineering, and hands-on STEM learning. I've had the opportunity to work with students of different ages, abilities, and learning styles, and one thing I've learned is that **every child has the ability to succeed when given the right tools, encouragement, and support!**
**What Makes My Teaching Approach Different?**
As both an educator and a parent, I understand how important it is for children to feel supported, encouraged, and excited about learning. I believe education should go beyond memorizing formulas and completing worksheets. Students should understand how and why things work!
My engineering background allows me to introduce creative problem-solving techniques and real-world applications that help students see math from a different perspective. Whether we're working through multiplication, tackling challenging word problems, or exploring basic engineering concepts, my goal is to make every lesson meaningful and engaging.
**A Little More About Me**
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy spending time with my three children, exploring creative educational activities, and finding new ways to make everyday experiences opportunities for learning. Being a mother has strengthened my appreciation for patience, flexibility, and celebrating the little victories that lead to big accomplishments.
️ **My Promise to You and Your Child**
I strive to create a welcoming, patient, and encouraging learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and discovering their strengths.
I don't just want my students to improve their grades. I want them to develop confidence, independence, curiosity, and problem-solving skills that will benefit them throughout their educational journey.
**Every great thinker, scientist, and engineer started as a curious child. Let's nurture that curiosity together!**

**Making Math Interesting, One Lesson at a Time!**
Does your child struggle with math, need an extra challenge, or simply learn better with a little one-on-one attention? I'm here to help!
With 6 years of experience in education and a Master's degree in Engineering Technology, I combine my passion for teaching with real-world problem-solving to make math and STEM engaging, meaningful, and easier to understand.
**What to Expect from My Lessons:**
**Personalized Instruction:** Every child learns differently! I tailor each lesson to your child's learning style, academic needs, and individual pace.
**Interactive Learning:** Through hands-on activities, visual examples, educational games, and real-world applications, I help students discover how math connects to everyday life.
**Confidence Building:** My goal is to create a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress.
**Strong Math Foundations:** From addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to fractions, word problems, and critical thinking, I help elementary students strengthen essential math skills.
**STEM Exploration:** I introduce age-appropriate engineering concepts and creative problem-solving activities that encourage curiosity, innovation, and independent thinking.
**Who Are My Lessons For?**
My tutoring sessions are designed for elementary school students who need additional academic support, want to strengthen their math skills, or are excited to explore STEM concepts.
**My Teaching Philosophy:**
I believe children learn best when they understand the *why* behind what they're learning, not just how to memorize an answer. My goal is to help students develop the confidence to approach challenges, think critically, and discover that math isn't just another school subject—it's a valuable skill they can use for a lifetime!
**Let's turn "I don't understand" into "I figured it out!"**
