About Josh

In less than a year, I went from running a 3:58 marathon and a 1:40 half marathon to a 2:54 marathon and a 1:16 half-marathon.

I haven’t come from an elite background — everything I’ve achieved has been built through structured training, consistency and learning what actually works. I’ve run three marathons and countless half-marathons, so I understand the process, the challenges and what it takes to progress over time.

Strength and conditioning is a key part of my approach. Throughout my own running journey, I’ve consistently combined it with high mileage (including nearly 90-mile weeks) while staying injury-free — something I strongly attribute to this.

Whether you strength train solely to support your running or want to build and maintain muscle alongside it, I’ll integrate strength and conditioning into your plan in a way that complements your training, not compromises it.

If you’re aiming to run 2:20 for the marathon, I’m probably not the coach for you. But if you’re a busy, ambitious runner who wants to get faster, push your limits and achieve more than you thought possible, then I can help. Whether that’s a sub-3 hour marathon, your first 5k or anything in between — I’ve got you.

Whether you’re training for your first 5k or chasing a marathon PB, my coaching is designed to give you clear direction, structure and consistent progress.

Firstly, I’ll assess your current level, goals and key areas for improvement, so we can build a plan that’s completely tailored to you — not just a generic template.

From there, you’ll get:

→ Personalised training plans tailored to your goals, schedule, and ability
→ Race-specific plans to prepare you properly for any distance up to the marathon
→ Structured workouts (easy, threshold, hills, intervals, tempo, long runs) designed to maximise performance
→ Strength & conditioning guidance to help you stay strong, improve performance and reduce injury risk
→ Hybrid plans if you want to build muscle while continuing to run at a high level — the same approach I use in my own training

You’ll also get:

→ Regular check-ins to review progress, refine your training and keep you on track
→ Advice on pacing, race strategy and session execution
→ Guidance on recovery, nutrition, injury prevention and consistency
→ Accountability and honest feedback to keep you progressing

I don’t offer hourly sessions — my coaching is structured to deliver long-term progress rather than one-off lessons.

You can choose between two structured options:

→ Monthly Coaching
Ongoing coaching with personalised training plans, structured sessions, strength integration, regular check-ins and continuous support.
£140/month

→ Race-Specific Coaching (typically 8–24 weeks)
Designed for committed runners working towards a specific goal (first 5k, race PB, etc.). Includes everything in the monthly plan, along with a full build-up, race strategy, more frequent check-ins and a higher level of support throughout. Pricing varies depending on the length of the plan and time until your race.
