About Dominick
When I trained for my first dan black belt, I learned what resilience really means. I wasn’t told what would be on the test until the moment it began — and when I failed, I remember standing there, breathing hard, realizing the lesson wasn’t about passing. It was about getting back up. My instructors taught me two rules that never left me: 포기하지 마라 (pogihaji mara) — never give up, even when everything in you wants to, and 준비하고 두려워하지 마라 (junbihago duryeowo haji mara) — move forward ready, without fear in your heart. Those words still guide me. I teach with the same mindset: fall, learn, rise. Martial arts isn’t about how hard you hit — it’s about how deeply you grow every time you get back up.

Each lesson starts with a quick check-in and warm-up — I like to know where my students are mentally and physically before we move. I focus on confidence, form, and flow over perfection. My sessions mix discipline with encouragement, turning challenges into motivation. I adapt to every student’s energy, pushing just enough to help them grow. What sets me apart is how I bring mindfulness, movement, and mindset together — martial arts becomes more than technique; it’s about self-awareness and strength, inside and out.
