About Natalie
I am a dedicated Chess tutor with 17 years of teaching experience, working with school students, college learners, and working professionals. Over the years, I have successfully guided around 250 students, helping them improve their skills and confidence in the game.
My teaching philosophy is simple. I believe chess is not just about winning, but about thinking clearly, planning ahead, and making smart decisions. I focus on building strong fundamentals in openings, middlegame strategies, endgames, and tactical play. I also teach game analysis so students can learn from their mistakes and improve continuously.
I create a supportive and motivating learning environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and try new ideas. My lessons are structured but flexible, so each student can learn at their own pace. I use puzzles, real game examples, and practical exercises to make sessions engaging and effective.
One of my key achievements is seeing my students grow into confident players who can compete, think independently, and enjoy the game. Many of my students have improved their performance in tournaments and developed strong strategic thinking skills that help them beyond chess.
My goal is to make chess simple, enjoyable, and meaningful for every learner, while helping them build discipline, focus, and confidence.

My teaching approach to chess focuses on building strong thinking skills, confidence, and a love for the game. I design lessons that are clear, structured, and adapted to each student’s level. I cover important areas such as openings, middlegame strategy, endgame techniques, tactics, positional play, and game analysis. Students learn how to plan ahead, control the board, and make smart decisions.
I use creative methods like puzzles, real game examples, and interactive challenges to make learning engaging. I also include timed practice to improve time management and decision making under pressure. Motivation is a key part of my teaching, and I encourage students to stay focused, positive, and consistent. I help them understand both their strengths and areas for improvement.
My lessons are flexible, allowing students to learn at their own pace while still making steady progress. I guide them step by step and adjust strategies based on their learning style. I also teach practical skills like tournament preparation, opening preparation, and psychological readiness.
My goal is to help every student think smarter, play better, and enjoy the journey of mastering chess.
