About Pierce
I received my Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Alabama, where I also served as a university teaching assistant working directly with undergraduate students in chemistry courses and laboratory instruction. I have additionally worked as a private chemistry tutor since 2017, helping students strengthen their understanding, improve grades, and prepare for chemistry and math exams.
My experience includes teaching General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry to students with a wide range of learning styles and academic backgrounds. Through my time learning at universities and through my private tutoring, I have developed a strong ability to simplify difficult concepts into clear, manageable steps that students can confidently apply on their own.
I take professionalism, preparation, and communication seriously, and I encourage students to stay engaged and ask questions throughout each lesson so they can get the most value from our time together.

Struggling with chemistry can feel overwhelming, but my goal is to make difficult concepts feel approachable and understandable. I received my Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Alabama and have experience as both a university teaching assistant and private tutor since 2017.
I specialize in General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry, focusing on breaking down the complex topics found in each course into guided, step-by-step explanations tailored to each student’s learning style. During my lessons, I aim to build the student's confidence, improve problem-solving skills, and help students succeed on exams by helping them understand the material rather than just memorize information temporarily.
Whether you are trying to raise your grade, prepare for a major exam, or strengthen your understanding of chemistry, I strive to make all of my students feel comfortable to ask questions and to come ready to learn. I strongly believe that the more effort and engagement students bring into each session, the more they will grow and get out of our time together.
