About Kayla
I am a middle school English teacher with a graduate degree in Education from the University of San Diego. Moving to New York to teach middle school English, my hard work ethic and confidence in teaching will make me an excellent English tutor. When I graduated as an English major from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, I began working at a PR firm, thinking that was what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. But after tutoring a 9th grader for a year, we did not only build a strong relationship and raise her failing grades, but I realized I needed to change my career. So during the pandemic, I worked harder than ever, taught 8th grade, and received my Master's in a year. I am a dedicated educator and would love to tutor your children. Thank you!
