Bonjour ! Je m'appelle Victoria et j'adore enseigner le français.
Hello ! My name is Victoria and I love teaching French. Having over a decade of experience with the language including the completion of a Bachelors and Masters degree, I truly understand its cultural impact and importance around the world. After studying abroad in France for 6 months and studying Francophone history during my graduate program, I am also deeply committed to enhancing students' cultural awareness of not only Metropolitan France, but of as many Francophone regions as possible.

About the lesson

Using a communicative and immersive approach to language teaching, I prioritize effectively scaffolding basic concepts to gradually increase grammar and vocabulary retention. With 2 years' experience teaching elementary and intermediate French at the college level, I am comfortable starting with the very basics (the French alphabet, verb conjugations, grammar conventions), progressing through more complex verb tenses, and refining advanced conversational skills. As a second-language learner myself, I employ a deeply empathetic lens to every concept I instruct, and I am very comfortable tailoring lesson plans and learning materials to each individual.
