About Harry
I’m a masters student at Cardiff University specialising in conservation genetics and ecology, with a real passion for showing how studying science can open doors to incredible opportunities. I was so lucky to spend a placement year working in Borneo on an ecology project, which gave me firsthand experience of how the subjects we learn in the classroom connect to real-world conservation and research. That experience inspired me to teach, because I want to help students see that Maths and Biology aren’t just about exams, but rather tools that can take you anywhere!

I’ll tailor each session to what you need — whether that’s going over tricky topics, practising exam questions, or building confidence with the basics. I like to use examples that connect to real life so the material feels less abstract and more engaging. My approach is patient, supportive, and focused on helping you feel comfortable asking questions and working through problems at your own pace. I’ve been through the same exams myself, so I know what examiners are looking for and how to prepare effectively. Whether you’re aiming to boost your grades or just want to feel more confident in class, I’d be happy to help! The typical lengths of each lesson are 1 - 1.5 hours but can be negotiated, I am happy to teach a range of students from GCSE and below. Please feel free to get in touch!
