About Theo
Hi, my name is Theo I am a masters student in materials chemistry at the University of Oxford and have an offer to transfer this into a PhD at Cambridge. I studied maths, chemistry, physics, and further maths at A-Levels and am excited to pass on my knowledge and help other students love maths and science as much as I do.
Outside of academia, I love backcountry skiing and mountaineering in general. I go on hikes in the Lake and Peak Districts frequently. I am also training for an Ironman triathlon as well as playing football and rugby for the university.

I usually start by assessing the student's goals and where they are at in the moment in order to pitch our sessions to the correct level. I then target my lessons to topics that the student is less confident on, building understanding and gradually increasing the difficulty of the problems.
Typical length of lesson 1-2 hrs.
I have tutored many family friends since I was 17 in maths and the sciences at both GCSE and A-Level as well as participating in a mentorship scheme at school to help the younger years who were struggling. I also provide mock Oxbridge interviews to students from my previous school.
Qualifications wise, I achieved a first class result in my BA at Oxford and am now pursuing a masters, also at Oxford, with a PhD offer from Cambridge in materials science.
