About Catherine
I have helped tutor kids in math since I was in grade school myself, and all throughout my education. I think people tend to dislike it because they don't understand it, but the same way that I believe anyone can do art, I believe that anyone can excel in math; you just have to figure out how it makes sense to you.

I take an individual approach with every student I work with to figure out what is at the base of their confusion around different mathematical principles. I work with the students to break down word problems so that they can understand how to pull the equations from the sentences. I also will work on going back to the basics, making sure the student really understands the building blocks to be able to complete higher level mathematics. Willing to work with students grades k-9.
