About Addie

I have over 30 years teaching both in business and in mathematics. An extensive amount of time has been spent tutoring other students at various levels, mostly college but high school and lower levels as well. I have extensive knowledge of using publishers’ algorithmic platforms, such as Aleks and My Math Lab.

About the lesson

My teaching method is simple: Meet the student where he/she is (mathematically) and take them to where they need to be. We will spend time that most meets the student's needs with patience and understanding; realizing that mathematics can be a subject a lot of people are "afraid" of or say is "hard". However, I believe if a student is given the tools (small pieces at a time) he/she needs to be successful, he or she can get to the point of understanding mathematics and how it affects our everyday life thereby removing that initial fear. Mathematics can be learned by all, even if it's only to get through the course of study from one level to the next. Also, sometimes that need is best met in an one-on-one environment or in a small group setting of no more than 3 or 4 in order to give personalized service.

All cancellations should be made no later than 2 hours prior; earlier if possible. This can be done by text and/or by a telephone call. The price include travel within a 20 mile radius from my residence.
