About Michelle

I have been tutoring for 10+ years in Math (i.e., Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Prealgebra, Trigonometry, SAT Math, ACT Math, etc.) and Science (i.e., Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, Elementary Science, Exercise Science, etc.). My background includes a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with emphasis on Sports Performance and Health and Human Performance, as well as a Master of Science in Strength and Conditioning Studies. As a former competitive tennis player who was constantly traveling for tournaments, I had to teach myself a lot of the material as I was always on the road. This made me develop methods and techniques to remember and apply these Math concepts during my educational years efficiently. Whenever I returned to school, my peers would always ask me to teach them these Math and Science concepts because they found that the method I developed was more effective than the teachers in school. From there, I have been helping students with gaining confidence and mastery over these Math concepts until this very day.

About the lesson

I teach and tutor based on your needs and your capabilities. We would go over the topic that you're currently learning in school or the topic that you feel you want to learn or need to have the most help in. I check with you throughout the session to see if you understand the material and are comfortable moving forward with the next step. The lessons are for anybody who wants to understand better about the topic or wants to learn about it.
