About Takyla
I have been tutoring other student since 6th grade. I've also worked as a teacher assistant for grade school students back home in Chicago. I am a Health Science major; therefore, I have a pretty strong background in the math and science. I also have a pretty strong background in English. During my junior year of high school I took an Advanced Placement course in Language and Composition and I scored a 3 on the test with the highest being a 5. Also, during my first year at Spelman, I received a B in my English Composition class. I am willing to send you my first year transcript since I have taken classes in each of the 2 subjects you've listed and have received nothing less than a B in each class.

I am a Sophmore, Health Science Major at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. My grade school through high school education took place in Chicago, Illinois (where I'm originally from). As an instructor, I plant to use techniques and methods that make math and science not only enjoyable but less difficult to understand. Sometimes equations, vocabulary, and other aspects of these subjects can be quite challenging but I ensure that I can use my good communication skills to everything down into more digestible pieces so that the student can excel in the subject.
