About Mohammed

As a GCSE student, I was unambitious, had a poor relationship with teachers and ultimately underachieving within all subjects. In the preceding months leading up to finals I had started getting tutored by my maths teaching grandmother, her warmth and empathetic approach to teaching, ultimately connecting with me and building rapport, is what led to my eventual academic success. Not just within maths, but all subjects by inspiring resilience and a hard work ethic. I have given myself the obligation to pass on this approach to learning and is something I am passionate about. I hope I can be of service :)

About the lesson

From my experience, the lecturing approach to mathematics was never effective. I've always responded well to engaging and interactive lessons, allowing me to flourish up to degree level. This is my philosophy towards lessons. With an average lesson time of 1 hour, I build trust with demotivated and challenging students, building rapport to introduce a sense of enjoyment towards learning. This methodology of mine has seen an average grade increase by 24%, spanning across 7 GCSE and A-Level students, all whilst balancing my own studies across university.
