About Heidi
My passion for mathematics started early, captivated by patterns, problem-solving, and abstract structures. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Mathematics followed by an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics. Over 10 years, I have guided students across multiple levels, helping them understand concepts, develop analytical thinking, and gain confidence in applying mathematical reasoning in practical and theoretical contexts.
I emphasize clarity, patience, and active engagement. Many learners initially struggle with abstract topics like calculus or probability, so I provide step-by-step guidance, visual examples, and structured exercises to ensure deep comprehension. My teaching fosters both technical mastery and curiosity, encouraging students to explore beyond the standard curriculum while building confidence in their skills.
Outside teaching, I remain actively engaged in research, applied modeling, and problem-solving projects. These experiences enrich my lessons with contemporary examples and real-world relevance. Watching students evolve from confusion to clarity, from hesitation to confidence, and ultimately from skill acquisition to intellectual curiosity is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my career as a mathematics educator.

Advanced learners tackle linear algebra, differential equations, optimization techniques, and advanced probability, integrating rigorous conceptual understanding with real-world applications to develop mastery.
