About Mya
I am a Mathematics and Astronomy double major at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. I have been tutoring students in calculus since I was a junior in high school, and I was on an astrophysics research team that studied WR-30 stars. Before the University of Illinois, I was a student at the University of Denver where most of the students study on a quarter system, meaning they have 10 weeks of classes to learn the same amount of material as a student on a semester system. Thus, I am able to teach students at a faster pace as along with normal or slower paces. I specialize in Calculus with Several Variables.

I teach students between 9th and 12th grade who struggle with subjects relating to mathematics and physics. I can teach algebra, precalculus, physics, single variable calculus, and multi-variable calculus. I prefer to teach the concept before launching into some practice problems. For example, I would explain what a variable is and how it is used before walking through a practice problem. I love questions! I always welcome questions at any time and find it conducive to learning the material.
