About

After I graduated high school, I began volunteering to tutor at a community organization for students during summer school. I quickly learned that I enjoy helping others understand and succeed in math.

Over the span of my tutoring career, I have obtained considerable life skills and experiences that enabled me to become a competent and efficient tutor. I am an ambitious and optimistic person and highly organized. I have intensive knowledge of my subject.

My paramount goal is to pave the way for my learners to be successful, while providing them a meaningful and fun experience. Attaining competence in mathematics doesn't only mean to achieve a successful grade, but rather to go beyond that by appreciating mathematics in ways that allows you to see its applications in real-world settings, and utilizing mathematics as a tool to help solve problems around us.

About the lesson

I have 4 years of experience of tutoring students with varying degrees of competence in mathematics. My paramount goal is to deliver mathematics in meaningful and fun ways. After obtaining my Master's in Mathematics Education, I am confident to say that I am equipped with various teaching strategies to support and accommodate students with diverse academic strengths and needs. I strive to see students succeed in math and develop a passion for math. I would love to work with any student and build a rapport with each student.

In previous positions, I progressively learned effective strategies in supporting students with diverse abilities. I was able to adapt my teaching style and mode of communication in order to accommodate all levels of ability. This enabled me to personalize tasks for each learner that works for their unique learning needs.

However, as a team, I assure you that we can make your trajectory to reach your academic goals as meaningful and creative as possible.

I am confident in teaching K-8 math, most high school courses, including Algebra I & II, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus.
