My teaching approach for Mathematics is focused on making calculus intuitive and accessible. I begin with the concept of limits, explaining the idea of approaching a value and using both graphical and numerical methods to build understanding. I cover formal definitions and techniques for evaluating limits, including direct substitution, factoring, rationalization, and special limits. I then teach continuity, including the conditions for continuity and intermediate value theorem, with practical examples. I move on to differentiability, introducing the derivative as a limit of difference quotients, and explaining its geometric meaning as slope of a tangent line. I cover basic differentiation rules, including power rule, product rule, quotient rule, and chain rule, with plenty of practice problems. I use real-world applications like velocity, acceleration, and rates of change to show the relevance of derivatives. I provide detailed notes, step-by-step solutions, and practice worksheets for each topic. I assign homework that balances routine problems and application-based questions. I conduct weekly quizzes and periodic tests to assess understanding. I also provide tips for avoiding common mistakes, such as misapplying rules or misinterpreting limit notation. I maintain a progress log for each student and adjust my teaching pace accordingly. My goal is to help you build a strong foundation in calculus and develop the confidence to tackle more advanced topics.
