About Jordan
Throughout my A level studies I mentored within the mathematics department at my school, I then took a gap year and worked as a teaching assistant within the same department while offering private tuition to several students, all of whom improved their grades dramatically. My time at university has also included STEM outreach targeting a variety of age groups, as well as undergraduate mentoring.

I've just graduated from the University of Leeds with a first class honours BSc and MPhys in Physics, now on my way to start a PhD in Physics.
My preferred method of teaching strays from the traditional lesson plan format to focus directly on the areas a student struggles with. I like to break these topics down to a level the student is comfortable and competent with and build up from there, as I believe without a solid foundation it's incredibly difficult to understand higher level concepts. From my experience, this is why many people can become disengaged with maths and scientific topics, whenever possible I try to include real world applications of the subjects being taught to give a wider perspective.
