About Radusa

I am a Mathematics graduate from the University of Kent with a strong academic foundation across pure, applied, and statistical mathematics. My studies included modules such as Real Analysis, Algebraic Methods, Applied Statistical Modelling, Numerical Solutions of Differential Equations, and Data Collection and Analytics, giving me a broad and well-rounded understanding of mathematical theory and application. Currently, I work as a Business Intelligence Analyst, applying mathematical and analytical reasoning to real-world data problems. This experience enhances my ability to show students the practical value of mathematics beyond the classroom, connecting abstract ideas to real applications. Alongside my academic background, I have over three years of tutoring experience, having taught at Kumon and provided private tuition for students from primary school to A-Level Mathematics. My lessons are tailored to each student’s learning style and goals. I focus on developing conceptual understanding and problem-solving ability through guided examples, discussion, and structured practice. My goal as a tutor is to help students build strong mathematical foundations, grow in confidence, and develop the analytical thinking skills that underpin both academic success and professional growth.

About the lesson

I make sure every lesson is carefully tailored to each student’s needs. At the start, I create a personalised study plan outlining what we’ll cover and when, ensuring clear goals and steady progress. During lessons, I focus on active learning and discussion rather than independent work, as I believe paid sessions should prioritise explanation, practice, and understanding. Homework is set after each lesson to reinforce what we’ve covered and to challenge students with slightly more advanced questions that strengthen their ability to apply knowledge. I believe one of the most effective ways to learn Mathematics is through observing examples, working through problems together, and developing a deep understanding of how numbers and mathematical concepts connect. My priority is always to build strong foundational knowledge so that complex topics become easier to grasp. I also ensure students are exposed to a wide variety of question types so they feel confident tackling any exam challenge they face. I teach Mathematics from primary school level up to A-Level, drawing on my experience both as a private tutor and as a Kumon instructor to help students grow in confidence, skill, and enjoyment of mathematics.
