About Benvolio

Hi everyone, I'm Nkamogeleng Benvolio Sepeng, your new math tutor here in Johannesburg. Before we jump into any equations or graphs, I want to tell you a bit about who I am and — more importantly — why I actually love math (yes, love it, not just 'it's okay'). I'm not some super-genius who was born solving calculus in nappies. I grew up right here in Gauteng, went through the same CAPS system you’re in, and honestly? But somewhere along the way, something clicked for me — and now I can't imagine not sharing that 'click' with students like you. So why do I love math so much? It's better than winning a game on your phone or nailing a tricky level. I live for those 'Aha!' moments when a student suddenly goes, 'Wait... it actually makes sense now!' Watching that happen is the best part of my day. Math is everywhere in real life — and it's secretly cool It's not just school stuff. It's in the angles of your favorite soccer free kick, how algorithms decide what TikTok video pops up next, how much change you get at the spaza, or why your phone battery lasts longer sometimes. Once you see math as the hidden code behind the world (not just homework), it stops feeling pointless and starts feeling powerful.
