About Xander

I am a 19 year old first year university student, currently studying Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Birmingham. I've been on both sides, having been tutored during my A-Levels while supporting others.

I like to get to know my tutees to best adapt my work to focus on improving their weakest areas and most effectively improve their grades or where they might have gotten stuck in their work. I also believe confidence is key inside and outside of the classroom or exam hall, and so encourage my tutees to believe in themselves as that in itself can be a real aid.

Outside of tutoring and my degree, I love long walks/hikes, reading, research and playing music!

About the lesson

I am familiar with the current Edexcel Maths A-Level specification and would be more than happy to tutor students doing any GCSE or iGCSE specification or Edexcel A-Level Maths. I will focus on content relevant for the exam and how to best structure answers to get top grades, walking tutees through exam-style questions and any work they are struggling with, adapted to the support they require to fulfil their full potential.
