About Matheus

I have recently become a Maths graduate from Swansea University. I am a passionate and dedicated private maths tutor with 2 years of experience in teaching children from year 7 to A-levels. Since May 2021, I have been providing personalised tutoring services to help students develop a strong foundation in mathematics. My goal is to make learning enjoyable and engaging while ensuring that students grasp fundamental concepts. My experience as a private maths tutor has allowed me to witness significant growth and improvement in my students' mathematical abilities. I take pride in helping them overcome challenges, build confidence, and achieve academic success.

About the lesson

With a patient and empathetic approach, I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring mathematical concepts. I tailor my teaching methods to suit individual learning styles, adapting my approach to meet each student's unique needs. Through interactive lessons and practical examples, I aim to encourage critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and mathematical reasoning in my students. I believe that understanding the "why" behind mathematical principles is just as important as mastering the "how." I would like to cover the topics that the student might find a bit challenging and understand what are their weaknesses. I like to use examples to find out what methods the students use at school and from there work with them to make sure they gain the confidence when solving similar problems. I use Zoom online sessions as my way to deliver these lectures since it has many features for online learning. I am fully equipped with modern devices for online learning. I can use any method to send the PDF of the lecture notes and also I like to keep in contact with the parents to give them feedback regarding the lectures and development of the student.
